Doing my daily check of E! online, I came across this picture and thought, "oh no no no....."
Being pregnant is a beautiful thing. I have not gotten to that stage in my life yet but, you can look at a pregnant woman and see the gorgeous glow. While most celebrities try to still dress red carpet-ish and sexy, these women need to embrace their pregnancy and be proud to show off those extra curves in a good way.... not an unflattering way like Matt Damon's wife, Luciana.

Highlight the joy of becoming a mother.

The fashionable side of expecting moms in Hollywood....

Nina Garcia knows how to look stylish while showing off her pregnancy discreetly.

Here are a couple more shots of the pregnant fashionista.
The Project Runway judge and Marie Claire fashion director, is pregnant with her second child. Garcia is due in December.

Tiffany Thiessen was won the May cover of Pregnancy Magazine, glowing, while showing off her cute baby bump.

Here are a few more bump watch shots.

Thiessen gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Harper, June 15, 2010.

Alicia Keys still knows how to rock her funky style while sporting a baby bump.
At the BET awards Keys was stunning in a Grecian style dress.

More pictures of the stylish singer, showing off her baby bump.
Keys welcomed a baby boy, Egypt Daoud Dean, into the world October 14, 2010.

Christina Applegate is glowing, while showing off her baby bump at the premiere of Warner Bros. ‘Cats And Dogs 2.

The breast cancer survivor and soon to be mom, glows in more baby bump pictures.
Applegate is due this winter.

Alanis Morissette glows while rocking her cute street style.

Here is a couple more photos of the songstress and her baby bump.
While Morissette didn't expect to be expecting, the songstress and new hubby, Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway were happily surprised. No due date has been announced.

The not so stylish side of expecting in Hollywood....

While Ali Larter is glowing and happy, she is a little flashy with her fashion choices.

Suggestion to Larter, choose more modest pieces.

Jodie Sweetin looks happy to be expecting but the fashion choices are not flattering for this mama.

Suggestions would be to ditch the unflattering fits and patterns. Horizontal stripes are not a friend to anyone who is sporting a baby bump.

Lily Allen does the one thing that is NEVER a good look for a mom to be
The quirky singer, is thrilled to be expecting but smoking while pregnant is never in fashion.

Being pregnant comes with a world of new changes, challenges and exciting new experiences. Looking good and showing off your baby bump can be easy with just a few easy fashion tips.

Pregnant looks good on ya.....
  • Show it off: You don't have to wear things that make you look like you're wearing a potato sack or garbage bag. Wear pieces that flatter you beautiful growing belly.

  •  Monochromatics: Darker colors are slimming. Choose colors that look good on you but in darker tones. This will help you look sleek and stylish. Keep in mind the less contrast you have the better. The outfit will look more put together.

  • Layer it up: Layering pieces, like shawls, capes, cardigans and jackets, are great for mama's to be. The pieces break up the look while still keeping it chic. They can be used after pregnancy too.

  • Empire waist: The flattering fit is a good choice when pregnant and not. This fit, accentuates the tiniest part of you, your waist.  Wrap dresses are another great way to bring focus to your waist. Pair the look with tights, a scarf and boots for a cute winter mommy look.

  • Lay low: Choose sensible low heels or flats. Don't try to wear 5 inch stilettos. When you are pregnant,  your feet swell, so putting more pressure on them won't help the situation.

Remember to keep it simple. Don't over do it by adding crazy patterns, unflattering fits or sky high heels. Being pregnant is a blessing and you need to show it off while looking fabulous in your in own skin.

Remember, fashion is fun. It is uniquely you.
